Connecting to VE: An art exhibit and fundraiser for Venezuela + Two open studio's

Henry Bermudez and Michelle Marcuse co-founded HOUSEGallery1816 in 2010 and are joint directors. Together they have curated over 30 exhibitions and projects across a range of disciplines and media. The gallery acts as a bridge between the local and the global at a central location on the Arts Corridor in Fishtown, Philadelphia.

Bermudez and Marcuse have been developing and building a reputation for presenting thoughtful and intelligent curation. The exhibitions have incorporated national and international contemporary art.  HOUSE Gallery1816 mission operates with the understanding that Art lends inspiration and perspective to life’s challenges, bringing people together to create better societies in a creative and playful way.

During October, we are presenting Connecting to VE which is a fundraiser for the people of Venezuela. Because of limited space and so as not to crowd the work, all art received is on a first-come, first-serve basis to ensure artist visibility. Measuring 8" x 8" and priced at $50, 50% of sales are supporting a gofundme site for Venezuela and 50% wlll go to the artists.

This event will celebrate our wonderful community of artists and help another country in distress.  A list of where the funds are going will be available.  Please come and support both artists and the Venezuelan cause!
